in darkness

in darkness

A Poem by jenelma

Tell me- how does it feel
to sit here and stare
at me
I close my eyes
 avoiding the laughter
can't pinch myself and tell me
 this isn't  real

thought it would be different
that you would see what
loneliness really meant

tell me- how do you live
when all that you receive is the
hate that you give
to me
I try to laugh
saying that this is all
a dream

thought it would be different
that you would see what
sadness really meant

you- scream at me
sneer so easily throw me across your shoulder
push me like I'm the
boulder
that annoys you
that can't show you

that it would be different
that you would see me
you would know me
and know

what loneliness really meant
the sadness that can't be bent

by my sister and I

You appear to posses a wisdom ahead of your years," tell me- how do you live
when all that you receive is the
hate that you give
to me" these lines got my attention because it is so much like the golden rule.Keep on writing you seem to make sense,God bless
