My Remains (lyrics)

My Remains (lyrics)

A Poem by Jene'e

You came to me in a dream

And I swore to myself you'd come again.

The days grew cold as I'd wait and stay,

But I still knew you'd be.

So until my day

I'll remain

From my grave;

I'll save you a place

Next to me.

I'll remain.

I saw in your face no reply.

But I swore to myself you'd come around.

I waited for years 'til you came and stayed,

My heart in pieces on the floor.

And you took from my hands

The shards of glass

That had

Cut me for so long

And kissed the wounds.

And I'll remain

From my grave

To save

You a place next to me

So I can breathe.

To save

You a place next to me

So I can breathe.
