Letters from a hated daughter

Letters from a hated daughter

A Poem by Jennifer Morris
"

This is not a true story, but it damn there might as well be, this is for people with unhealthy relationships with their parents and don't know how to fix it.

"

Letters from a hated daughter

Mom can’t you see he never liked me,

you would leave the room and he would give me a look.

He would lie and say “I love being around her”.

I gave you multiple chances to leave him,

but it’s clear he means more to you than your own daughter.

So here to goodbyes,

I saved up enough money to go to Germany,

I’m already on my way there now.

I also bought a house and got a job in a law firm,

I maybe 19, but you really under estimated the things I can do.

Don’t try to find me, I dyed my hair, changed my name, and even took the liberty to burn all your pictures of me.

Don’t worry mom, now you can see the lying scum he’s always been.

And the best part about it is; you don’t even have to remember me.

Well I guess this is goodbye forever…

Abschied Hündin
