I will look to see you no more

I will look to see you no more

A Poem by Jen

I watered a garden that never grew

Wasted water fell on dead earth

That spawned no life but good intentions

And bore no fruit

I am a stormy ocean of tears

That ceases her hurricane winds and waves

To make safe the passage of your ship

And you will not renew me

And yet for you would I keep all of evil’s horrors

Lodged in my bosom, until my ribs and sinews cracked

Until this mortal shell were shattered

By the breaking of my heart

Through hell fire, evil, and darkness

Through all those horrid visions will you run

But never through tradition, never through expectation

Should I see you beside me

And if the worst should come to me

If deserted, shamed, desolate am I

I will look for your arms to hold me up, but I fear

I will look to see you no more
