Movement of the Universe

Movement of the Universe

A Poem by Jen

Save me from myself, and let the stars fall on us both

Surround me with your wealth of adoration and of oaths

Drown me in two stormy seas, leave me falling through their depths

Follow me to paradise. To my heaven count the steps.

Explosion of light illuminate the darkness of the world

Jupiter upheld at our command, the sun shines at a word

Flowers blossom, pathways open, new worlds live and die

Blood is rushing, panting, singing, resurrection in your eyes

Jumping from the highest peak and flying higher still

And falling thus I broke the box that held my fragile will

In that box I found us wrapped in warmth and safety's bliss

A heaven you created when you stole my only kiss
