What If

What If

A Poem by Jen

I want to speak to you, and I can't

Knock, knock, knock

Are you in there?

Wondering what you're thinking

Doesn't that mean you should tell me?

Don't be a coward and pull away

Don't be afraid of inevitable pain

Tears will come like rain,

and still I won't hear your voice

This is more feeling than you're used to,

so it's natural to be shocked,

but don't make the mistake

of forgetting Forever

Don't compromise Forever

to be safe inside that armor you created soldier

Don't be last on the list of your life

Why wont you listen to someone who knows?

Someone who knows you

Someone who loves you and hates you

all at the same time
