i simply need her

i close my eyes to see you

you briefly blew through my life

leaving a scar of your footprints

your sweet aroma lingers in the wind

as the cool breeze sweeps me up

i let go

my lips mouth your name

beckoning for your presence

my hand reaches for you as if you're right here

i hold onto the memories

i dream up the future

i live as if you're by my side

no distance is great enough to separate us

our intertwined souls can not be divided

if i say i need you, will you come back?

i love you, darlin'

you are essential to my well being

as life continues and time goes on

i will be waiting, singing the same song
