in a different kind of way

and you're okay

you don't push me away

or condemn me

you say i'm sweet

you say i make you feel so amazing

well, you give me wings

you give me butterflies

you give me goosebumps and smiles

please just stay for a while

know my love is pure and innocent

like your beauty...

your intelligence, your strong will and determination...

i look in your eyes

seeing my reflection off your unblemished soul

you visit me in my dreams

and smile

There is something so nice in love poems that make the subject 'real' and not just an abstract fantasy. I read 'let me tell you the ways...' and the portrait of this lady that has captured your heart is painted for the world to see. Something she can look at and see herself in, and smile. Sincere, true, even with the smudges that came off your brush where you didn't want them as you did your best to get the colors just right.
