Cutting Deeper

 

 

This pain I feel goes deeper than any wound

The cut does heel, but the heart still ill

This pain I have hurts more than the gash upon my arm

The pain I have keeps on creeping deeper into my heart

 

Pain does not take away hurt

Nor can hurt take away pain

 

I cut to see what pain I can handle

I cut to see how much I can cry

Maybe I cut to see if I could die

I cut aloud so some one could hear me cry

 

 

I scream the silent scream; Help me out, dear God O please

I need your stronger hand today, help me through this difficult way

 

Hold my hand away from the blade

Hold it back, Cant this pain fade?

Hold my hand so I can do no wrong

Hold my hand so I can sing your song

Hold my hand to the new day

Hold my hand, so I can stay

Hold my hand dear God O please
