although we are parting
and going our separate ways
just close your eyes
and know my love for you stays

when times get hard
as they often do
just close your eyes
and know i'm thinking of you

whenever you cry
or sigh with despair
just close your eyes
and know i am there

my prayers and best wishes
my hopes and my dreams
just close your eyes
i'm sending an angel with wings

though i'm no longer with you
you won't be alone
just close your eyes
and you will be home
