Tenderly With Love

 

Tenderly with love, you

 Hold my heart in your hands

Releasing all fears and

Overturning all my doubts.

Undeniably, with this trusting love

Good and glorious thigs

Happen.

 

Yonder stand

Our children, to whom we pledge

Universal love, while we

Rejoice in their being.

 

 Ever since we met

 You have pledged

Everlasting love, and true

Safety.

 

Interestingly enough

 

 Cowards have tried

 And failed in their efforts to

 Negate the power of our love.

 

Standing strong we know that

Everlasting love waits for us.

Eternally.

 

Increasing our dreams

Never letting each other down

Today is the same as tomorrow and

 Only fate can mark the end.

 

 My love is yours and will remain

 Yours, until time no longer walks the universe.

  

So my love, I

Offer you all that I have - all that I am with my

 Undying love and total gratitude, knowing that it

 Lasts forever, and a hundred years.

Write the true Jen. Don't let these contests put boundaries on you. Even if you win a prize in this contest, which I gather you did, I can feel the chains. While this is a masterful write within your restrictions, I can feel that you're bound by the conditions of the contest. Now I have written for contests, too. Generally not, but I have written for them. In only one case did I feel I did the poetry justice.
