A Special Little Boy.............

written specially for the son of one of my writing friends............

 

A Special Little Boy…………

 

 

I’ve heard about this little fellow

Who really loves the colour yellow

He likes to talk, he has lots to say

And if he could – he’d talk all day

 

This little boy will soon be five

His mother said ‘Well snakes alive

What kind of presents shall he get?

Maybe a bike or a new train set!"

 

"Super Heroes" make him laugh,

He might even like a baby calf.

What can I buy for my little boy

I know, – Hot Wheels,- a favourite toy!"

 

This little boy sleeps without a care

And sleeps all night with "Uncle Bear"

He wants so much to go to Kindy

He wants to go, if it’s it hot or windy.

 

This little boy just loves to eat

A lot of things some sour, some sweet

One of which,---- Oh no – not me

This little boy loves – broccoli!

 

Who is this boy, soon five – not four

Playing with Uncle Bear’ upon the floor

I see his face, now full of smiles

A sweet little boy – his name is – MILES!

aww that's adorable. i love how you use this 'voice' .. of innocence, and simplicity. i think i'm afraid of writing in this voice, for fear of being ... i dont know, for sounding like an immature writer? i guess. but you always manage to put such depth and sweetness to your work. you definitely have a voice of your own - and one that i'm learning to appreciate more and more with each piece :) very fascinating darlin'
