Full Circle

Full Circle

A Poem by jen -- JG

Another one that came from, I know what not where ---- or why..................... make of it what you will

"

FULL CIRCLE

So many ways to tell the future

Used in days of old

Throwing stones, sheep entrails

Omens and crystals, fortunes told.

Sages, seers, prophets now dead

Foretell the world’s event

Before the birth of Jesus Christ,

His betrayal and assent.

Mystics gaze with wonder

Strange sights, new sounds they hear

Horrific deeds of man to man

Make soothsayers cringe in fear.

"Foretelling" becomes a danger

For some it is a curse

Lucky "Scryers" find peaceful death

Unlucky ones , much worse.

Second sight, and crystal ball

People learned to fear or hate

And to be burned as witches

Became many an innocent’s fate.

"Foretelling" back in fashion

Crystal ball, tarot or tea leaves

Are used to read the future

For so many who still believe.

The wheel has turned full circle

Ancient prophets have foretold

Secrets, of the crystal ball

Clairvoyants, will behold.

I like it,
It tells a history from the beginning of time
and it is true, those with the vision are afraid to look now
because of what we as a whole are becoming
And they are ridiculed, for it would mean changes, yeah I got that deep on this one
Thanx, J.P.O.et
