Tarnished Starlight

Tarnished Starlight

A Poem by jen -- JG
"

been there - seen that.................

"

TARNISHED STARLIGHT

If an overpowering longing

Dictates indecent haste

And kisses sweet as honey

Leave bitter after taste

If trembling fingers reach to touch

A lover, no longer there

And anguish bites with razor teeth,

Leaving pain, too great to bear.

If angry words tear you apart

With bitterness unseen

And loving, is not enough

To heal the rift between

Then

Tarnished starlight is bitter bright

When seen through broken tear

And silent shadows shape the night

With silhouette --- unclear.

Emotional and extremely well written! I feel the sadness, the pain but you display these feelings so wonderfully--I don't feel the sting as badly! Beautiful writing!

nice...
yet... i can only say that love is very much a levitation... its another step closer to humanity, and to your own truth!
the experience sometimes is bitter-sweet!
but in the end... it a ladder...
and the person on the top...
is but yourself to meet!
nice poem!
