The Bonza "Ocker"
The "Ocker" is a bonza bloke Who shows no sign of fear, Although his way of talking Often grates on cultured ear. The "Ocker" is quite sensible Though his speech is seldom cute You’re his cobber, or his dinkum mate, Till you mess with his Holden Ute. That’s when the sparks begin to fly And a space around is cleared ‘cause an "Ocker" with a messed up Ute is an "Ocker to be feared. So never mess with an "Ocker" You never know what he’ll do You could end up with a busted nose Or be hit on the head with a shoe.
Now this "Ocker" is a surfie Hanging five with can in hand. He leaves his thongs and cooler With his singlet, on the sand. A killer shark is looming Right there in water deep It’s eyeing off the "Ocker" As a meal, it wants to keep. With surging leap this killer Bit surfboard clean in two But then our fearless "Ocker" Knew exactly what to do. As razor teeth surround him Beer can was slammed on snout, The killer shark then shook its head And spat out "Ocker" out.
The "Ocker’s" clothes don’t vary From shorts to thongs on feet With a singlet to cover belly When he goes out on the street. The moral of this story, Well, it’s not so hard to tell When you get to know an "Ocker" Get to know him, very well. But when this Aussie "Ocker" Is over ripe with lots of cheer And he say’s you are a "bonza mate" Better buy the bloke a beer. He can be mighty friendly Hardly ever puts in the boot. So long as you stay far away From his blasted Holden Ute.
