Betelgeuse

Betelgeuse

A Poem by jen -- JG
"

This was for the Asimiov contest ----------

"

Betelgeuse

There was an old man called Betelgeuse

Whose thinking was simply obtuse

Many stories he told

He was big, bad and bold

This crazy old man, Betelgeuse.

Thank you, Jen, for your review of my poem, "Spica." How fitting that my first review of your work should be of a poem also titled with the name of a star, Betelgeuse, a red giant, the second brightest star in the constellation Orion (my favorite), and the ninth brightest in the night sky. I like your limerick...nice choice on using "obtuse." I would like to meet this big, bad, bold, crazy old man! Good luck with the contest!
