The Flying Saucers
I had a night out with the boys the drinks were all for free, I'm not sure just what we had but I know it wasn't tea. I stumbled home, then I stood by the trunk of a spindly tree and heard a sound, a scary sound like the w-a-i-l of a mad banshee
I looked towards my own front door, thought "I might have time to flee" and found I was transfixed with fright at the sight my eyes did see. Some strange thing was standing there I just knew it wanted me. I saw it raise a glaring eye and it seemed to dance with glee, then with a scream of pure dislike it headed straight for me.
Not being brave I hollered "HELP" and ducked behind a tree. With colours bright and flashing light it seemed to follow me. I just had time to wish for once I had been drinking tea.
All was still, so I peeped out so very timidly, I guess I thought if I moved fast I might, at last, be free. My hopes were dashed as with a crash something slammed into my knee. Another one came swishing past, but now bleary eyes could see: my irate Missus on the porch throwing saucers, straight at me.
