Writer's Block

At a time I couldn't think of anything to write ............. ME not having anything to write? .... Never!

Writer’s Block?

 

 

Guess I’m feeling crazy

Don’t know just what to write

I think this pen will grab me

And deliver a powerful bite!

I’m sure I could write something

If only -----I’d sit and try

But nothing’s coming, so I rise

And bid you all --- good-bye.

 

But wait! It seems I have a clue

The secret is – just write!

Yet when I read what I just wrote

I get one hell of a fright.

I think today …. I’ve had enough

Tomorrow, I’ll try again

And write and write and write and write

Till my head aches with the pain.

 

They say heads are for thinking

And writers’ use a pen

And I am sure the day will come

When I’ll think and write again.

For now I think I’ll just pack up

Put pen and paper away…….

Then bring it out and try again

Some other sunny day.

An interesting little poem. I can imagine a melancholy atmosphere even though it's a sunny day as one goes through there thoughts trying to find a suitable topic to write about. And there are times where that can happen where you read what you have written and it's well, difficult because it doesn't sound like you? A fright can mean many things when it comes to writing, so that was the first thing I guessed. But this is actually really nice because you wrote out your thoughts in a poetic format, without losing any of the melancholy from when it first opens, until it ends.

internal or external cause
many things happening in my life
can cause a block just rid of cause
and there is block no more
