I was Once A QueenA Poem by jen -- JGA bit of light hearted fun ----------------------
I WAS ONCE A QUEEN
As the eldest of five I soon ruled the roost And this really gave my ego a boost. Queen of the Loo that was my nick- name Because washing up dishes just wasn’t my game Whenever my turn at the sink came around The whole family knew just where I’d be found Perched on the throne behind a locked door Refusing to hear the loud angry roar As brothers and sisters were forced to work Doing the dishes that I regally shirk. Then came the day they all waited for My mother was waiting behind the loo door I hurried in with a grin ear to ear And quickly came out with my hands on my rear I rushed to the sink straight as a tack With my mother wielding a large heavy strap My punishment now makes my future look bleak I must wash the dishes for eighty- two weeks
