Slipping HeartA Poem by jemaralMy masochistic heart is at it again...You are trouble this I know to be true Yet I can’t help but be attracted to you Every time I try to look away My eyes can’t help but stray By your smile I get attracted Just like that once again I’m distracted I tried to put distance between me and you My fascination for you simply grew Little things and events around me Remind me of you to a certain degree The wind reminds me of you refreshing smile I think of you when I see another with your hairstyle Glasses remind me of your pretty eyes I think of you against my own advice Running from you will not work D****t!! Why am I such a dork? I make it a point not to stare To gaze into your eyes I do not dare To do so would just seal my fate The risk to my heart is just too great My masochistic heart is working its craft Weaving another tragic story about me the daft Even now I am barely hanging Dangerously I’m at the edge of falling I fear it is only a matter of time Now that my heart and mind has made this rhyme © 2015 jemaralReviews
