Dreaming of You

 

I lie awake at night

Beneath the veil of moonlight

Under the cover of starlight

In my heart i feel delight

 

For I know when Luna claims me

Beauty in my dreams I shall see

A visage both divine and inspiring

to see you really is breathtaking

 

As the nights spell puts me under

I sleep an let my mind wander

Dreams and visions start to manifest

thoughts of you stand out from the rest

 

Brown hair burns auburn in the light

curly and unpredictable in its flight

back and forth it blows with the breeze

wathcing you puts my mind at ease

 

eyes protected by the looking glass

to stare at them as eternity shall pass

is an eternity im willin to spend gladly

as i lose myself in them so easily

 

Smile that seems to light up my day

no matter what month seems summers may

i feel warmth from my head to feet

it makes my heart skip a beat

 

but for all the beauty you project

its nothing to thing you protect

guarded it may be from all directions

still it has captivated my affections

 

heart that challenges the world in size

it rivals the suns radiance in my eyes

it mystery one day i hope to understand

Oh how i wish i could hold it in my hand

 

The moonlights veil has lifted

the starlights cover now has melted

a new day comes and darkness has broken

the birds sing as the sun has risen

 

This new day i open my eyes and smile

dreams can be great and worthwhile

But i know no matter how i dream of you

nothing can hold a candle to the real you
