![]() Drunken InspirationA Poem by jemaralI open my eyes and darkness greets me I look around, void and emptyness I see my temple, searing pain, sharp as blades My vision returns as the Darkness fades I stagger to my feet slowly I stand In a r0om neither simple nor grand I am home... No this place is simply a shelter an empty husk of space like any other Noise.. everyday sounds from outside I hear Yet to me It is more than I can bear each sound is like a bellow from the depths tearing at my mind like a storm it swept Body... heavy as lead each movement grueling every gesture like a shriek through my very being chaos pulsates through out my senses for each stir every fiber of me screams as though the end is near punishment of the sacred liquid for my indulgence the sweet poison that beckons my obedeince Honey of the gods and bane to the human soul the fluid essence that binds the mind from its goal Such agony for the drink of the ancients I endure Oh why I yield to this torment I am unsure The reason behind my willingness eludes me this painful path will it be my eternal destiny? © 2013 jemaralAuthor's Note
