she lied

for a contest

 she says she loves him (she lies)

she says she’ll never go (she lies)

she says he’s the only one for her (oh! she lies)

 

then

 

she throws out her ticket stubs, her pictures,

she gives back his varsity jacket

 

he cries

he dies

because she said she loved him (but she lied)
