One last breath

One last breath

A Story by jellyvalmont

i want to lay down. staring at the endless blue above me. summer winds warming my skin. the sun slowly sinking into the ground. soft blanket pressed against my back. id take a deep breath
then another
then more sighing breaths in and out.
on my last breath id pause.
just long enough for my lungs to stain against the pressure.
then.
and just, then.
ill let go,
the air will escape my lungs in a rush dragging EVERYTHING  with it. every word i never said. every cry for help. every scream of internal pain. every single moment that i hurt. that i ached. all out. part of the sky.
no longer part of me.
maybe then the world will be a little lighter.
and ill just smile.

Nice work with this one. You can feel the satisfaction of the subject after she releases all this pain. x
