you there, on the rented white horseA Poem by jen
you don't have to save me
just keep me company on the ledge tell me some jokes and point out the landmarks i don't need to be rescued, just listen to me when it comes to jewels and fancy things your spending shouldn't be considered in currency, the only spending that is requested is in terms of time over coffee, in the bed, on the road, in our heads no need to convince me that i am a ravishing beauty i know that the years have rolled on by over the curves of my body, under the surface of my skin all you need to do is look in my eyes and see the one who loves you your partner in crime, your foe, your curse the harpy, the snot, the slob and sometimes worse just look in my eyes, and the beauty will be reflected into each others gaze you shouldn't try to understand me explain, describe or define me in the drum roll of the day to days i have saved you, you have saved me in so many undesirable, indefinable, undisclosed ways © 2010 jenReviews
