Whole Again

My demons demand to be dominate
But my heart is filled with light.
Keeping them at bay
Its a fight
Between heart and mind
With my soul
Silently waiting
For the right moment
To intertwine
To bring peace
To a dangerous battle.

Looking at me you could never see.
For this war is slowly destroying me
Piece by piece
I fall apart

Just when I am ready to give in
You pull me close
Like a shield
Your arms are around me
Your kiss
It warms me
Your whispers
They reassure me.

I have been broken
But with your help
One day I could be whole again
