FORGIVEN

Faith and hope fill my heart
I mess up
I sin.
On bending knees and
Tear filled eyes
I pray to be forgiven.

Lord give me strength to forgive all those who aim to or
Have hurt me.
They are lost and have not found their way to you.
They read your words
And create their own meaning.

I was once like that.
Bending your words
To make excuses for my sins.

I was once lost.
When I lost my faith.

Lord help me be strong enough to forgive them.

Thank you! Yup. I am getting as many poems as I can up before it begins to not like me again. The last three I posted I have written right before I post them. My mind is kicked into overdrive right now lol

Lol. Well for the past few days I had writer's block. Both with poems and my stories. My best friend and cousin asked me when I will finally finish a story. I told them when the end fills right. Then it will be finished. Aka I am working on to many stories at once lol

Deop a few things and relax, then. I like to work one at a time. Atleast you're rid of writer's block now! Write all you can, it may strike again. :p

Oh I know it will lol. It usually happens when I am need to write to clear my mind lol. And unblocks in the middle of one of mycollege classes when I need to focus on class. A poem or part of my story will run through my mind

That happens to every one of us! It's only when I'm trying very hard to study Chemistry that a new idea comes to my mind. Otherwise, I draw up totally blank most of the times xD

I know how that is all to well. You see. I attend college for massage therapy. And one time a ehole poem ran through my mind while I was giving a massage. Once I was done with the massage. It dissappeared lol

I don't even know how to respond to that xD

This happens alot. Like as soon as a poem or part of a story starts to pass though my mind. I have to write it down.

I will be postings some of my older poems sometimes this weekend. I have been writing poems and stories for 10 years.
How old were you when you started writing poems?

I started in January this year, because of some dreams I had been having about my now deceased Grandfather. It's therapeutic for me, helps me work through my grief. I'm looking forward to reading some of your older stuff! :D

So what got us both started with writing is from grief. Mine grief was when I lost my dad. Writing and drawing was what kept me sain. And of course my best friend cassie. Which will make 17 years this august 14. And also august 14 makes 11 years my dad passed away

I'm very sorry for your loss! It must've been incredibly hard for you, I can't even imagine. But writing helps a lot, so I understand how it helped you to stay sane. Also, I'm glad you had a friend to support you through those difficult times, it's nice to have friends like those.

Thank you! I am truly sorry for your loss as well. After losing my dad I realized, everything happens for a reason in life. Though we may not agree or understand why. After losing my dad. I not only began writing. I also found my faith and cherished my life and the people in my life more than I ever thought possible. I found the strength I never knew I had.

You're welcome! I know exactly how you feel, I try to spend as much time with my Grandmother now as I can, I cherish her more than ever before. It's amazing what experiences like these can do to us.
