Brand New

All my poems are about parts of my life. Y'all see I grew up struggling with faith. I always questioned my self about who I am and why is my life so important. I came to a dark point in my life

All my life
I let in
What I knew was not good for me.
Only to feel the sting.
Poisoning my life
Like venom
Through my veins.
The devil sank his teeth in me.
Trying to drain me of my faith.

Left there
Feeling weak and alone
I was giving up.

Than I heard your voice
Calling out to me.
Heart beating as loud as thunder.
My tears fell like rain.

Even when I lost my faith.
You never lost faith in me.

You became my strength
I needed to stand back up.

You dried my eyes
So I could see clearly.

I open heartly
Surrendered my life to you.
This is when
I became brand new
