'Scars'

I felt my share of pain
I shed my share of tears
I faces my share of fears

The scars on my heart.
Remind me
That my past
Is real.

I fought my share of wars
I won my share of battles.
I lost myself more times
Then I care to count.

The scars on my soul
Remind me
That every fight
Was real.

Time heals all wounds
But scars remain.
Reminding me that my pain
Was real.
But with faith in the Lord
I carry on.
Stronger than before.

My journey is far from over
My war is far from done.
Everyday is a new battle.
But in faith
I will not fall.

My scars will remind me
Of my fight
My faith.
They will remind me
That what I am fighting for
It is real
