Who am I

I heard a song called who am I And I connected with this song. And it inspired a poem

I was broke and lost.
My strength was failing.
I thought I could stand on my own.
I though I didnt need you.
As I lost myself in this world.
I asked myself over and over again
Who am I?

Falling to my knees
With tear filled eyes.
I was completely broken.

Screaming and scared
I heard your voice
Calling out to me.

With tears falling from my face.
I asked you why.
Why is all this happening to me.

As you came closer
I began to cry harder.

Then you whispered to me
No matter how much you ran from me.
I was there.
No matter how angry you were.
I was there.
Even when you felt alone.
I was there.

You built up yourself according to the world.
Not my words.
But I have never left your side.

You ask yourself
Who am I.
I am here to open your eyes.
