Walk With Me

I was once consumed by darkness.
I gladly let it consume my ever thought.
I felt safe in my own mind.
But I lost so much.
I wanted to fade away.
I wanted the pain to stop.
Darkness becamd my friend

Then I saw a flame in the distance.
As it reached me.
I felt warmth.
I felt arms wrap around me.
I felt safe.
Whispering in my ear.
I have felt your pain.
I have seen your tears.
I know your heart.
The love you have for those around you.
I know your lost.
I am here to guide you.
All you have to do is have faith.
Surrender all your past to me.
For I alone can guide you to a better future.
Its up to you to fight the darkness.
But you dont have to fight alone.
For I will give you my armor.
And you will be victorious against all that try to harm you.

I like how you write and I appreciate your effort to inspire in the second stanza, I dont want to critisise
but I feel the leap from darkness to light is just a step too far, maybe a link between the two might enhance your work, but that is just my opinion.

I appreciate and take in all opinion. This poem is actually how it happened. I lost my dad and was about to comitt suicide. I was standing on the edge of the hospital roof about to take my last step. When I heard a someone whisper my name. That whisper is what snapped me out of my darkest moment in my life. Right when I was about to end my life. The lord pulled me out of the darkness that I welcomed
