Thank You

Thank You

A Poem by Jeffery Hayes

Mom I know its hard for you
To see your baby is a man
And I know I wasn't always the easiest kid to raise.
I rebeled just for fun.
I stood up to you when I should have just listened.

Back then I didn't see how hard it was forvyou to stay strong
When everything was going wrong.
I know you tried.
I know I didn't make it easy.
I want you to know I am sorry.

You were a single mom
Walking to work.
Just to make sure we had a home, food and clothing to wear.
Thank you.

I know we rarely seen eye to eye.
I know I let my temper get the best of me.
But you still love me.
I know its because your my mother.

Now that I see clearly.
I want to
Thank you
