Lessons Unlearned

The further I go

the worse I get

at what I do

and what I let

destroy my peace

and set me back,

defining well

the things I lack.

 

You'd think I'd learn.

You'd think I'd see

the damage done

by being me.

The trail of tears.

The bridges burned.

So many lessons

left unlearned.
