Not Alone
you sit alone on your bed trying hard to figure out where you went wrong,
you take those pills to drown out the pain, can't remember the last time you felt alright its been so long.
you are not alone; i am here for you,
to take away the pain, to help you make it through.
i am by your side, wanting to hold you near
wanting to chase away the fear.
tears pour down your pretty face and you hold your pillow just a little bit tighter,
once in awhile you remember the times you used to be so strong; you used to be a fighter.

prayers fall from your lips and you hope that someone hears them even when their whispered in the dark almost every night.
you get tired of not being heard and being misunderstood, when will everything end up right.

so just hold on, someone hears your prayers,
yes, someone really cares.

Many people have fears.. including me (many) but it is nice to know that someone hears or understands those fears and even nicer when there is someone to be there for you... beautiful tribute if you wrote this to someone special!!! You seem to be drawn to someone special.. wanting to protect them... that is special. Thank you again for sharing your heartfelt writing!
