No Longer Worth My WordsA Poem by Jeannie
You’re no longer worth my words.
Find a new line to sway you to sleep. Another voice to get you through the day. To point you to your sanity. If it’s not worth it to you, it’s useless to me. Find someone new who cares a quarter of how I do. It’s only a matter of time before your tears drown them too. Relationships are mutual; you can’t hold your end. You could give a f**k less when I need a friend. So build a bridge over your pity pond. And walk across it as you cry. One day, eventually, you’ll understand. And stop asking yourself why. © 2013 Jeannie |
