No Longer Worth My Words

No Longer Worth My Words

A Poem by Jeannie

You’re no longer worth my words.
Find a new line to sway you to sleep.
Another voice to get you through the day.
To point you to your sanity.
If it’s not worth it to you, it’s useless to me.
Find someone new who cares a quarter of how I do.
It’s only a matter of time before your tears drown them too.
Relationships are mutual; you can’t hold your end.
You could give a f**k less when I need a friend.
So build a bridge over your pity pond.
And walk across it as you cry.
One day, eventually, you’ll understand.
And stop asking yourself why.

A good poem. It really came across, the sadness and anger in it. The rhymes were good and it flowed well. Well done.

Thank you very much :) I thought I'd look back on it and frown, but I still like it!
