Ode to Bug's Bunny

Just a little poem for n=one of my childhood heros (yes I am dating myself)

 

What’s up doc he said with a grin

As I sat there glued to the TV again

His ears they were long and tail very short

But how I loved him, I was such a dork

He sang and he danced, ate carrots galore

Foiled the bad guys and was never a bore

He was an explorer before Dora and an astronaut too

He had so many talents, everything he could do

He’s ageless and cunning a true icon of sorts

That rascally rabbit is king of the court

I always thought Bugs looked so comfy down in his burrow that I dug my own out in the field beside the house. I even dug an escape tunnel off to the side in case I had to give Elmer the slip. Yeah, I guess you could say I liked Bugs.
Oh, about my wabbit hole--the weeds grew up around it, and it swallowed a tractor that was mowing the field some years later.

Bugs was my all-time favorite, followed closely by the Pink Panther. I miss Bugs. Sigh.

AWWWW lol, i remeber *sigh* bugs. My favorite was tweety though. This is good though. It's a good ode to alot of peoples childhood friend.
