The little beagle's out and gone,
He's having lots of fun,
He's caught your scent, He's on your trail;
Run, Rabbit, Run.

 

Nose held high he sniffs the air,
His chase has just begun,
He'll catch you yet if you aren't quick;
Run, Rabbit, Run

 

The little beagle's on the porch,
Soaking up the sun,
He only dreams of chasing you;
Run, Rabbit, Run.

Wonderful poem for a child! Heck I love it too and so does the over the shoulder reader, standing behind me going oooooooh. It is definitely a keeper. Will bring a smile to everyone's face. Isn't is cute how their little feet move as the dream hunt?
