Cowboys are restless, They like to roam, Where they hang their hat, Is Home Sweet Home. And cowboys are lonely, When they're out on the trail, And driving those cattle, Through rain, sleet and hail.
Chorus:
But high in the saddle he rides, His trusty old dog by his side. A black stetson hat on his head, Round his neck a bandana of red. Reckless and proud, but gentle and kind, Yes, Cowboys are one of a kind.
The yelping coyotes, The bawl of a steer, Are music so sweet, To a cowboys ear. The work is hard, And the pay is low, But he loves riding brahma's At the big rodeo. © 2008 Norma J. JesseeAuthor's Note
