Butterflies

Butterflies, Butterflies,

Filling the sky,

Dance on a rainbow;

Fly away Fly.

Butterflies, Butterflies,

Red, Yellow, Blue,

Wings made of velvet;

Fly away, do.

This is a lovely children's poem, and would lend itself to some beautiful illustrations. Have you thought of submitting it to a children's magazine or anthology?

I love butterflies. I learned a butterfly song when I was a little girl, but I can't remember all of it ... just a few lines. This is beautiful and lively.

This is perfect. I can see and hear little ones singing this. Fantastic little poem for children.

A nice little chant for children. I think 'Fill(ing) the sky would flow better, however. Just a thought.
