The Years
A Poem by

Will you still love me ?
Will you still care ?
When I reach
Will you be there ?
Will the years be
warm and kind ?
Or will they
erase me
from your mind ?

I suppose that is something that crosses all our minds as we grow older. Just how big an impact we have made with our lives, or is it even worth remembering at all. Nice write.

Of course not! Thank God couples grow old together. If one grew old and the other stayed young...boring! As it is we can compare our turkey necks and swolen ankles...HA!!!
I realise this is a serious piece, but you have to agree that we are who we are, and that we need to be grateful if, when we really age...we're still here at all!!!

forgetfulness is a tragedy. I always wonder if i am remembered, or if those forget your impact. I like the strength of your question

Reminds me of the Beatles lyrics:
Will you still need me, will you still feed me
When I'm sixty-four?
