My Strength, My LoveA Poem by Norma J. JesseeIf you're going to love me, let it be now, While I can know what my heart wants to feel, Whisper words of endearment in my ear; So that I may treasure them, oh so dear. Be my strength when I am weak, And my laughter when I'm sad, And if my world should suddenly darken; Be my candle and give me light. For it's your love that I need the most, And if by chance you feel it shouldn't be; Then don't mislead me, just set me free.
