Toy

Toy

A Poem by Riley Bray
"

9/2/15

"
Its a game
Of cat and mouse
But inside the mouse
Lay a monster
And inside the cat
Hides a coward
There are times
When I am both
But never when I am neither
For I live to hunt the weak
And Im happy to fight the strong
While to some I may appear
To be the prey that they seek
They are always
Sadly mistaken

I will not lose
I do not lose.

Its a game
Of cat and mouse
Where a filthy human pulls the strings
Mud caked nails and a crooked smile
Hover above the enemies
For I am a predator
And I appear to be the prey
But in the shadows
Hides this human
Who is masterfully rotting away
