I Don't Lose

I Don't Lose

A Poem by Riley Bray
"

"
Do not think you can threaten me
You disgusting,
Slimy leech
I'm not as weak
As you may think
Come after me
And you'll regret it
I am no passive dog
But I can be a hell of a b***h
You'd better heed my words
You can hate me
With respect
This pathetic fight
Is between you and me
Only toddlers would choose to spread it.
No, I'm no submissive chick
That stereotype is outdated
Don't forget Ill take you on
You won't have time to process it.
Let it be known
I don't go down in any way but fighting
You can watch me walk away
As you lay silent on the wayside

Cocky much? XD This was great. the confidence, the snarky attitude, the dismissive 'this pathetic fight'... You captured the emotions of disdain and arrogance so perfectly. And even better you wrote it in a way that directs it to the reader. Like we're the one's who are suggesting the fight and we're having this whole conversation. The rhythm of the poem, the rimes sprinkled here and there drives the reader on.. very well written as always. :)

Dude, I love this! The premise is really interesting, and I totally agree. Any differences should be solved between the people it involves, although it seems that most people aren't aware of the honour involved in it, getting their families and friends involved. The people who hate you do often have a great deal more respect for you than those who don't as they see you as a challenge, a threat even.
I particularly like how the poem is paced, and presented.
The indentations really give a nice flow to it.
So finally, fantastic work, I absolutely adore it ^_^
