Today time has fallen asleep

In the afternoon sunshine

Basking in soft rays

Beneath a shady apple tree

The smell of dandelions all encompassing

It lays quietly

In the bed of grass beside me

Ferns swaying lazily

In the early summer breeze

There is a hush at this hour

The wildlife joining

In a collective sigh

As our bodies melt into each other

As I taste your lips

I partake in your sweet nectar

Bodies glistening in the summer sun

An intense heat burning between us

I give you my flower

And make love to yours

Heart beating powerfully

As the sun goes down and time sleeps
