Liberation

Liberation

A Poem by Riley Bray
"

1/5/15

"
I seek the wisdom
Of a girl that died ages ago
I loathe the freedom
Of those lost more now than before
And I wish to escape
This hell in which
I've come to live
And be forgiven

Release me
For I have lost my innocence
You beat me
I know there's bliss in ignorance
Free me
For I have lost my way
So I must go today

I'm running wild
Deep in my mind
I've found my light
And I'm healing slowly
I'm all riled up
To stand against this
Watch me win
Though I'm still lonely

I won't cry
I won't back down
Won't shy away
My voice is found
I won't lose
My heart is burning
It's time I tell you
You can't hurt me anymore
