Fatal AttractionA Poem by Riley Bray10/3/14
Beside me lays a Tigerlily
Petals ripe with outer beauty, But like a fruit from Eve's garden It tells you that it is forbidden. Stem as elegant As the plumes of a snowy peacock, Pollen as yellow as the tail Of a basking lion. Beside me lays a dandelion White as a porcelain doll, Wispy as a vixen In her busiest hour. Should you touch it, With such grace it will snap, Closed, forevermore For you've become another victim of Venus flytrap.
