I AmA Poem by Riley BrayA poem I had to write for class xPI am what I stand for, Not what others care for, A warrior that holds a bullet In my bleeding heart. I feel its pulse And it becomes me, Fuels my passion As it burns through my skin To litter the floor And I feel my strength. I am what others see me as For there are two of myself, The one that people see And the one trapped, hidden, saved, For another time. I feel the weight of it's secrets And she becomes me. Until she is me. Until I realize the panel separating Us two, divided, angry shows Aren't so definite after all And I realize I am Not only myself. I am a vast universe Made from the will Of an overactive imagination, The god of the reality Born from my creation, All I will ever be... All I can ever ask to be. So then, it is what it is. I am who I am.
