Indifference

Indifference

A Poem by Riley Bray
"

~~~
"
When all is lost
And we fail to breathe,
When we begin to drown
In a shallow sea.
When we fail ourselves
Indifferently
Me - you'll find me.
I'm the monster in the corner
With the catlike demon eyes
And the twisted, gruesome smile
Blinding, me.
I'm the evil in humanity
You will see
You'll see.
I'm begging you, please
Hate me, like I hate myself.
When the light burns out
And you leave this world,
When the darkness comes
And you start to hurt.
When the demons smirk
And the shadows grow
Me - you'll hear me.
I'm the single friendly voiced
In that hell that you have come
Guiding you to the stars where
I will break your hopes with sanity
You'll be fighting, me.
You will see
You'll see.
Please fear me,
As I fear myself.
Nice poem! That last line especially resonates, causing the reader to question if the evil is really fear itself. Well penned my friend!
