Ending Before an EndingA Poem by Riley BrayButterflies resemble angels, don't they? I wonder what miracle brought them here to our mislead species.I was a dark angel from hell I was a messenger for evil I was a raven with poisonous feathers I was a panther, swift yet weathered. You were a white angel from heaven You were a disciple of good You were a dove with a healing gaze You were a tiger, calm yet ablaze. But my eyes did seek And my soul did run So my heart did raze And my mind did craze and come undone. So your will did crush And your anger did sear As your mouth did tremble And your feelings did boil and fill me with fear. You are a villain to truth You are a sinner to hope You are a liar to trust You are a beast meant to bust. I am a bloody river I am a waste of space I am a breaker of goodness I am a monster, still crooked. An eye for an eye Makes the whole world blind So I suppose I cant climb From this pit where lie With this graveyard all mine.... Wings broken, I cry. © 2013 Riley BrayAuthor's Note
