A Misleading CrusadorA Poem by Riley BrayI don't want to love him...but of course we all do.....I search the skies and the faraway oceans Seeking out a lovers tomb In hopes of salvaging my lost treasure: Youth. Inscribed in the rocks by my foot are your words Oh sweet nothing whisperer Who proclaims damnation on all whose hearts easily quiver And vow to resurrect foolhardy dreams long lost. Should you return to me, gatekeeper Hold my damaged soul in your own and let me delve deeper. Oh sweet nothing whisperer I seek our end through our new beginning Allow me the birth of a new form of us without trust thinning. Let me shiver in your presence For I know my love for you was made to be taboo. Have me show you.
